Pakistani actor Ayesha Khan, known for her memorable roles in Pakistani television shows, died at the age of 76. Her body was found in a decomposed state at her apartment in Karachi, nearly a week after her death.
Reports say Ayesha's neighbours reported a foul smell coming from the flat, prompting them to alert authorities. Local police confirmed that the veteran actor had died several days prior to being discovered.
Her body was shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre for postmortem examination. The exact time and cause
of her death are yet to be ascertained. Her body will be transferred to Edhi Foundation mortuary in Sohrab Goth after all the formalities are over.
Born on November 22, 1948, Ayesha rose to fame during the golden age of Pakistan Television (PTV). Some of her popular shows include 'Akhri Chattan', 'Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord', 'Dehleez', 'Daraarein', 'Bol Meri Machli', and 'Ek Aur Aasman'.
Ayesha also appeared in several Pakistani films, including 'Muskaan' and 'Fatima'. She also featured in Indian film 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman'.
