On Tuesday, May 19, Boney Kapoor in a statement to the press, revealed that his house help, 23-year-old Charan Sahu, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Now, two more members of the Kapoor house staff have been found coronavirus-positive. They were asymptomatic.

Boney Kapoor is at his Lokhandwala home, in Mumbai, with daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. They said in their statement to the media that they have not been affected by the virus. After Charan's case came to the fore two days ago, all the members of the family and the home staff who are living under the same roof were tested as a mandatory precautionary measure. Covid-19 test have come negative.

Boney is yet to release a statement regarding the new development. In his earlier statement, however, he had assured fans that he and his daughters are safe, quarantined at home and are taking all necessary precautions.

“Myself, my children and the other staff at home are all fine and none of us are showing any symptoms. In fact, we haven’t left our home since the lockdown started. We are thankful to Govt of Maharashtra and BMC for their swift response. We shall be diligently following the instructions and advice given to us by BMC and their medical team. We are sure that Charan would soon recover and be back at home with us (sic),” Boney's statement read.
