Tina Ahuja responds on Govinda-Sunita divorce rumours, calls them baseless

Tina Ahuja, daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Govinda, has finally addressed the growing speculation surrounding her parents' alleged separation. Calling the reports “baseless”, Tina shut down the rumours that sent the internet into a frenzy on Friday.

The buzz began after Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, shared an emotional vlog on her YouTube channel, which many interpreted as a response to mounting divorce speculation. Soon after, unverified reports claimed that Sunita had filed for divorce at Mumbai’s Bandra Family Court.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Tina dismissed the ongoing chatter as nothing more than gossip. “It’s all rumours,” she said, adding that she doesn't let such speculation affect her. “I don’t pay attention to



these rumours,” she remarked when asked how she handles the recurring headlines about her parents’ relationship.

When questioned about how Govinda and Sunita are coping with the attention, Tina responded briefly, “Kya bolun mai (What should I say)? He is not even in the country.”

Despite the noise, Tina expressed gratitude for the overwhelming concern from fans and well-wishers. “I feel blessed to have a beautiful family, and I’m truly grateful for all the love, concern and support we’ve been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones,” she added.

Reports had recently claimed that Sunita officially filed for divorce on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion.
