Sanjay Dutt has officially announced the long-awaited sequel to his 1993 blockbuster Khal Nayak, which was released in 1993. He shared the news during a special anniversary screening of the original film. Subhash Ghai returns as the director to helm this ambitious project.

The production team is currently finalizing the script and technical crew. While the full cast remains under wraps, rumors suggest a mix of original stars and new faces.

Sanjay Dutt will reprise his legendary role as Ballu Balram. Madhuri Dixit is unlikely to join the cast, while Jackie Shroff has higher chances of being

onboarded.

Khal Nayak is a cornerstone of Indian cinema that redefined the anti-hero archetype, with its title track becoming a rage.

The film turned the villain into a misunderstood protagonist with immense style. Its music and dialogue remain deeply embedded in pop culture decades later. Ballu became a fashion icon for an entire generation of moviegoers.

Sanjay Dutt continues to dominate the screen with intense roles in big-budget films. He recently joined the cast of The Raja Saab alongside Prabhas. His presence in the Dhurandhar movies gave his career a supreme high.
