Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood celebrated his 52nd birthday on Wednesday by announcing a new initiative. The 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' actor revealed plans to establish an old-age home that will offer shelter and care to around 500 senior citizens. The project aims to provide a secure, dignified, and compassionate environment for elderly individuals who have no family to support them.

In addition to accommodation, the facility will offer medical care, nutritious meals, and emotional support to its residents. This initiative is in keeping with Sood’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he gained national recognition for assisting migrant workers and has also extended support to disadvantaged students and patients. The 'Dabangg' actor is widely admired for his belief in giving back to

society.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended his birthday wishes to Sood, commending his consistent philanthropic efforts. In a post shared on his official X, formerly known as Twitter account, the CM wrote, “Happy Birthday to the ever-inspiring Sonu Sood! Your selfless philanthropy and support for those in need have touched countless lives across the nation. May your year ahead be filled with happiness, health, and continued strength to keep making a difference. @SonuSood.”

Sood marked the occasion surrounded by fans and paparazzi. In a video circulating on social media, he is seen wearing a casual black shirt and dark blue jeans, smiling as he cut his birthday cake. A particularly touching moment saw fans showering him with flower petals, leaving Sood visibly moved by the outpouring of affection on his special day.
