Sohum Shah's Tumbbad 2 to go on floors next year

Pen Studios has officially joined hands with Sohum Shah Films to back the much-anticipated sequel, 'Tumbbad 2'. The project will be led by producer-actor Sohum Shah, with Pen Studios, under the leadership of Dr Jayantilal Gada.

'Tumbbad', released in 2018, set a new benchmark in Indian cinema by blending mythology, fantasy, and horror. The film initially gained attention as a sleeper hit, and its re-release last year exceeded box office expectations. Over time, 'Tumbbad' has achieved cult status both in India and internationally among fans and critics of the genre.

The makers have announced that 'Tumbbad 2' will further expand the universe established in the original. Backed by Pen Studios, the sequel is set to begin production early next year. This collaboration is expected to reinforce the franchise's reputation in the fantasy-horror space.

'Tumbbad 2' will be directed by Aadesh Prasad. With pre-production underway and shooting slated for early next year, 'Tumbbad 2' is positioned as one of the most anticipated projects.
