Siddhant Chaturvedi to play filmmaker V Shantaram in upcoming biopic

A biographical film on celebrated filmmaker V Shantaram has been announced, with actor Siddhant Chaturvedi set to portray the lead role. The first poster of the film, titled V Shantaram: The Rebel of India Cinema, was released by the makers today.

The first-look poster of Chaturvedi as V Shantaram was unveiled and shared on social media pages. "The Rebel Who Redefined Indian Cinema Is Back Where He Belongs — On the Big Screen," read the caption.

Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi said taking on the role has been



a significant responsibility. "Portraying V Shantaram ji is one of the greatest honours of my life. The more I read about his journey, the more humbled I felt. He wasn’t just a pioneer of Indian and global cinema, he was a visionary who kept pushing forward no matter the obstacles. Stepping into his world has been my most transformative experience as an actor. His life moved me deeply and reminded me of the power of perseverance.
