Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2011 winner Azmat Hussain recently appeared on Indian Idol 11. The reality TV star wants to get back to music and felt that Indian Idol 11 is his chance. As soon as he appeared on stage, judge Neha Kakkar recognised him. Azmat told them that he was a winner of a reality show and how later he drifted away from music.

"After winning the show(Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2011), I performed at several shows. I mean, I started working and earning money to meet the needs of my family. Later, I thought I'll do something but my voice started to change, due to age. Then people started commenting that I was singing badly. They started talking rubbish. Later, I was under depression and stopped singing."

For three years, Azmat had left singing. So much that he didn't even listen to songs. He was directionless and got into bad company and got addicted to drugs. "Nafrat ho gayi thi mujhe gaane se," he added.

Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali was Azmat's co-contestant in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2011. Azmat shared how watching Salman on the show motivated him. He said, "Pichhle season mein Salman Ali ko dekha tha. Woh mere saath he tha show (Saregamapa Li'l Champs) mein. Toh meri thodi umeed jagi ki mujhe bhi wapas kuch karna chahiye."

Anu Malik was glad to know that Salman motivated him and it was a big thing for the show and the judges. The judges motivated Azmat before his performance and asked him to give it all. Azmat Hussain sang Main Hawa Hoon.

After his performance, Vishal Dadlani asked his forgiveness and said that it's a no from his side. Anu Malik and Neha Kakkar wanted to give him a chance so they said a yes but Azmat backed out and said that he would not like to sing on the show. When Vishal asked what did he mean, he said, "Thodi himmat jaagi thi par ab...Main sir nahi kar paoonga."

However, Vishal Dadlani didn't take his no for an answer. He said, "As a music composer and Indian Idol judge I would like to tell you one thing. You will have to face the harsh realities of life. It happens. Don't lose hope. I am not giving you suggestions. I am giving you an order."

Vishal told Azmat that music is their religion. The people in the music industry belong to one family and as an elder of the family ordered him not to give up.

Here's an old video of Azmat Hussain from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2011 watch it above.
