Rajkummar Rao begins filming Sourav Ganguly biopic titled 'Dada'

Actor Rajkummar Rao is all set to play cricketer Sourav Ganguly in his upcoming biopic, titled Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story. The actor shared the first picture from the set on social media while announcing that the shooting for the film has officially begun.

Rajkummar, on his Instagram handle, shared two pictures. The first slide featured a clapboard with the film's title – Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story. The second slide showed a picture of the "Sourav Ganguly Stand" at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The second photo was also shared by director

While sharing the Instagram post, Rajkummar wrote, "And it begins... The one and only #DADA (sic)." Rajkummar, in an earlier interview with NDTV had said, "Now that Dada has already said it, let me also make it official – yes, I am playing him in his biopic."

The actor admitted to being "extremely nervous" about playing the iconic cricketer, but is equally excited about the opportunity. "I am nervous... It's a huge responsibility, but it's going to be a lot of fun," he added.
