Actor Salman Khan, also known for his philanthropy, has stepped forward to support Punjab amid severe flooding caused by heavy rains. His 'Being Human Foundation' has dispatched five boats to bolster rescue operations in flood-affected areas.
Three of these boats are actively engaged in rescuing stranded residents, delivering food, and aiding volunteers on the ground. The remaining two were formally handed over at the Ferozepur border. Punjab Tourism Chairman Deepak Bali also confirmed the foundation's
plans to adopt flood-hit border villages near Husainiwala.
The actor also addressed the issue during the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode on 'Bigg Boss 19' on Sunday. Speaking on the show, he mentioned, "We are doing as much as we can. We have contributed to the relief fund. Even famous singers from Punjab are helping in every way they can, keeping their rivalries aside."
