In the wake of Pulwama terror attack, The All Indian Cine Workers Association has announced a total ban on Pakistani actors and artists. In the below notice, the organisation said while they are firm on their decision and will take strong action against anyone who works with Pakistani artists.

The notice read as, “All Indian Cine Workers Association strongly condemns brutal terrorist attack on our soldiers at Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. 

AICWA stands with the nation in confronting such terror and inhumanity. Were officially announcing a total ban on Pakistani Actors and Artists working in Film Industry. Still if any



organisation insist on working with Pakistani Artists will be banned by AICWA and a strong action will be taken against them. The nation comes first, we stand with our nation.

Touted to be the deadliest terror attack on Indian army, on February 14, 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora in the Pulwama district. 

The attack resulted in the death of 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel and the attacker. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. A local youth named Adil Ahmed Dar was identified as the attacker.
