Priyanka Chopra confirms Citadel Season 2, but the future looks uncertain

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has confirmed that a second season of the spy series Citadel is in development. The confirmation comes despite mixed critical reception and high production costs.

In a recent interview, Priyanka discussed her ongoing commitment to the series and shared her thoughts on the uncertain future of the wider franchise. The first season of Citadel, which premiered on Prime Video, was reported to be among the most expensive television



productions, with an overall budget of approximately USD 300 million for six episodes.

Speaking to Variety, the 43-year-old addressed the uncertainty surrounding the franchise’s trajectory beyond its upcoming season. She openly admitted that long-term planning for Citadel is not within her control. "

We have Season 2, for sure, but the rest? I have no idea," the actor said, adding, "I don’t ask. I go to work, do my job and I leave."
