Choreographer-actor Prabhudheva unveiled character reveal posters for the cast of his much-anticipated film Moon Walk, teasing six of the 14 eccentric roles and establishing each character’s connection to his own, Babootty. The project marks a reunion between Prabhudheva and A.R. Rahman, with Rahman composing and singing all five songs for the musical entertainer.
Prabhudheva shared the posters on X with the caption, “14 Crazy Characters of Moonwalk. A full-length comedy movie, in theatres – May 2026.” He then listed the character names and relationships played by himself, A.R. Rahman, Yogi Babu, Aju Varghese, Arjun Ashokan and Sathish. He ended the post with the line, “Revealing the friends and family of
Babootty,” hinting that the remaining characters will be revealed soon.
Directed, written and produced by Manoj NS under the Behindwoods banner, Moon Walk went on floors in May and recently released its first song, The Moonwalk Anthem, ahead of its scheduled theatrical release in May 2026. Apart from the artists listed above, the film also stars Nishma Chengappa, Sushmitha Nayak, Redin Kingsley and Mottai Rajendran, among others.
Prabhudheva was recently seen in Malaysia, where he performed on stage during the massive audio launch event of Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan. Apart from Moon Walk, the actor-choreographer will feature in several other films across languages in 2026.
