Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush may have received mixed reactions from critics, but the film’s box office collection of the opening day suggests that the audience is unfazed by the reviews. Producers of the film, T-Series, shared on social media that the film had earned Rs 140 crore worldwide on its opening day.

Previously, trade analyst Girish Johar had tweeted that the film had collected approximately Rs 35 crores from the overseas market and the overall earning for the first day worldwide was Rs 133 crore.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the magnum opus has raked in the most from the



Telugu market, with an estimated collection of Rs 58.5 crore. The Hindi version has brought in Rs 35 crore, while the Tamil and Malayalam versions have minted around Rs 70 lakh and Rs 40 lakh, respectively.

A report by BoxOfficeIndia.com said, “The final overseas numbers are still to come but a Rs 140 crore worldwide day one is there for the film and this number can go to Rs 150 crore when all the collections are rounded up on Saturday.”

Pathaan, which has been the highest earning film so far in 2023, earned Rs 106 crore worldwide on its opening day. The Shah Rukh Khan film went on to earn Rs 1000 crore during its entire run.
