The Andhra Pradesh government has given the green light to a ticket price hike for Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab, adding to the buzz ahead of its Sankranti 2026 release. The order allows increased pricing for both paid premieres and regular shows across the state, starting this week.

According to the latest government directive, The Raja Saab will have paid premiere shows beginning tomorrow, with ticket prices capped at Rs 1000 for these special screenings. The move is aimed at capitalising on the massive anticipation surrounding Prabhas’s first-ever horror fantasy film.

For regular shows starting January 9, ticket rates have also been revised. In single-screen theatres, ticket prices have been increased by Rs 150, taking the

cost per seat to Rs 297. Multiplex tickets have seen a hike of Rs 200, with prices set at Rs 377 per seat for the first ten days of the film’s run in Andhra Pradesh.

In addition to the price hike, the makers have been granted permission to screen up to five shows per day during this period. The decision is expected to significantly boost footfall during the festive window.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is billed as a horror fantasy entertainer and marks Prabhas’s first outing in the genre. The film is jointly produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. Alongside Prabhas, the film stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani, with music composed by SS Thaman.
