Former actor Mamta Kulkarni has announced her resignation from the post of Maha Mandleshwar of Kinnar Akhada, stating that the decision has been taken voluntarily and in a proper state of mind. She clarified that her resignation, which will come into effect from January 27, 2026, is part of her personal spiritual journey and not linked to any dispute or disagreement within the Akhada.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Mamta Kulkarni made it clear that there is no conflict behind her decision. She specifically mentioned that she holds no grievances against Dr Acharya Lakshmi Narayan Tripati and expressed gratitude for the respect and position given to her.
“I Mamta Mukund Kulkarni right fully in
proper state of mind I am resigning from being a Maha Mandleshwar of Kinnar Akhada as of January 27th 2026. No qualms with Dr Acharya Lakshmi Narayan Tripati all love for bestowing respect," she wrote.
Explaining her thought process further, Mamta said that her spiritual understanding now calls for a different path. “It’s just that my spiritual knowledge will flow like J Krishna Murti. Truth doesn’t need clothes or stature," she added.
She also spoke about her guru, Shree Chaitnaya Gangagiri Nath, and noted that he never accepted formal titles. “My Guru Shree Chaitnaya Gangagiri Nath didn’t accept any," she wrote, explaining that this philosophy has deeply influenced her decision.
