The highly anticipated superhero sequel Krrish 4 has been put on hold following unresolved budget issues between actor-director Hrithik Roshan and producer Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. As per a report on the trade website Sacnilk, despite a strong public interest in the return of the popular franchise, talks have stalled as both parties fail to agree on financial terms. The project seems to have been pushed from its original 2026 production date.

The disagreement primarily centres around the proposed production costs for the film. "Hrithik Roshan, who is set to make his directorial debut with this instalment, envisions a massive scale with a budget close to Rs. 500 crores," mentioned the report.

It is believed that Chopra, who has been rejigging the cost of various productions under his banner,

has reportedly advised an upper cap of Rs 350 crore to ensure the film remains financially viable. Multiple rounds of discussions have not been able to bridge this gap, pausing the collaboration under the Yash Raj Films banner.

With the project temporarily put on a backburner, Krrish 4 is not likely to begin filming in 2026 as initially planned. The timeline has now shifted further, with new production dates yet to be determined.

In response to the budget limitations, Roshan is reportedly assessing the script in light of recent feedback and is considering various pathways for the film's future.

The report further noted that the actor-director is also exploring potential collaborations with other major studios that might be willing to meet his vision's financial requirements.
