As tributes poured in from across Karnataka, Shivarajkumar marked a major career milestone, completing 40 years as a leading actor in Kannada cinema. Leading the chorus of appreciation was Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who hailed the star as “his own competition” and praised his lasting contribution to the industry.

Marking the milestone, Karnataka Chief Minister shared a heartfelt note praising Shivarajkumar’s contribution to cinema and society, reflecting the widespread admiration the actor commands across the state.

In his message, Siddaramaiah congratulated the “Hat-trick Hero” on his longevity and impact. “Congratulations to renowned actor Shivarajkumar, who has successfully completed four decades in the Kannada



film industry. During my leisure time, I have watched and enjoyed many of his films (sic),” the Chief Minister said.

He went on to highlight the actor’s legacy, noting that films such as Ratha Sapthami, Janumada Jodi, Jodi Hakki and Tagaru helped take Kannada cinema to new heights. “When it comes to acting, Shivarajkumar is his only competition (sic),” Siddaramaiah remarked, underscoring the respect the actor enjoys among audiences and peers alike.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged Shivarajkumar’s work beyond the screen. “I hope that God bless Shivanna, the beloved of Kannadigas, who is actively involved not only in artistic service but also in social service, with long life and good health (sic),” he added.
