Kapil Sharma’s comedy sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is getting a second shot at the big screen, with the makers announcing a re-release in January 2026, noted producer Ratan Jani in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.

The film, a sequel to the 2015 hit Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, originally released on December 12, but struggled to find adequate space in theatres. Its box office run was impacted by the strong hold of Dhurandhar, which had released a week earlier and dominated multiplex screens. As a result, many viewers missed catching the comedy during its initial run.

In a statement, the makers explained that the film’s theatrical journey was curtailed due to limited screen availability.

“Ongoing multiplex takeovers affected the film’s reach,” the team said, adding that the re-release aims to bring the film back to audiences who could not watch it earlier.

“Even with limited screens, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to make audiences laugh and relive the charm of the franchise,” the statement read. “Keeping the excitement of fans in mind, producer Ratan Jain has decided to re-release the film in January 2026.”

A specific date for the re-release is yet to be announced. With fewer competing titles expected at the box office, the makers are hopeful that Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will enjoy a more favourable run and reach a wider audience the second time around.
