Rishab Shetty's Kantara is one of the blockbuster films of this year. Initially, the film was released in Kannada and it was dubbed and released in multiple languages. The film's Hindi version hit the big screen on October 14, 2022. And it has been performing extremely well at the box office. Since the film's already been dubbed in Hindi, Rishab was recently asked if there's no chance of a Hindi remake of Kantara. To this, he told the Times Of India, "Yeah, that's better." The actor feels that Kantara shouldn't be remade in Hindi.

In an interview with the publication,

Rishab was further asked which Bollywood actor would fit his part in the Hindi remake of Kantara. Responding to this, Shetty added, "To play such characters you have to believe in the roots and culture. There are many big actors in the Hindi film industry whom I admire. But I am not interested in remakes."

When asked to comment on people rooting for Kantara's entry to the Oscars, the actor said, "I don’t react to that. I just saw 25000 tweets about that. It makes me happy, but I don’t comment on that. Because I didn’t work for this success. I worked for work. That’s all."
