John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 to release on 12th May 2021

John Abraham recently took to Instagram to share the new poster of Satyameva Jayate 2. The film which was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on October 2, 2020, has now been pushed to 12th May 2021. It will be releasing on Eid next year as the poster reveals. The new poster shows John Abraham’s bare-bodied, moustached look from the movie, proudly wearing nationalistic colors. He is holding a plough in hand as the colors of the India flag oozes out of the wounds on his body.

While sharing the poster, he captioned it, “Jis desh ki maiyya Ganga hai, wahan khoon bhi Tiranga hai! #SatyamevaJayate2 in cinemas on



12th May, EID 2021 (sic).” It roughly translates to - In the land where mother Ganga flows, even blood is colored in the shades of the tricolor.

The film is directed by Milap Zaveri. After tasting commercial success with their 2018 release, the makers decided to take ahead the franchise with Divya Khosla Kumar opposite John this time. While the first film dealt with just corruption, the sequel tackles with corruption in all spheres from the police to politicians, industrialists, and the common man. It would revolve around the fight against injustice and misuse of power. The film would be based in Lucknow this time.
