The shooting of the Malayalam crime-thriller Drishyam 3, featuring Mohanlal has been wrapped up. The film's director, Jeethu Joseph has confirmed that the film will hit the big screens in April 2026, six months ahead of the Hindi remake.
Jeethu announced the release date for Drishyam 3, during a hospital inauguration event. He confirmed the movie will hit screens in the first week of April 2026. Additionally, he cautioned that audiences should go to the theatres without any prior expectations.
"Drishyam is a film that has influenced a lot of people over the years. It carries a huge weight of expectations within itself, and I ask
everyone to watch it without any big expectations. The film will be available to watch in theatres in the first week of April. The official release announcement will be made soon. Additionally, on January 30, my other film, Valathu Vashathe Kallan, is releasing. I am confident it will be a good movie," the director said, as reported.
The confirmation from Jeethu follows the announcement by the producers of the Hindi version, featuring Ajay Devgn, that their film will debut on October 2, 2026. Prior to this, there was widespread speculation that the original version and the remake would be released in theatres at the same time.
