The Drishyam universe just got more intriguing. Jaideep Ahlawat has officially joined the cast of Drishyam 3, adding a fresh edge to the much-loved thriller franchise led by Ajay Devgn and Tabu. The actor’s inclusion marks his first association with the series and has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see how the story unfolds next.

Sources close to the development have confirmed that filming for Drishyam 3 is set to begin in January 2026. “Jaideep will begin shooting for Drishyam 3 in January 2026. He has been roped in for a pivotal and extremely exciting role that will add a new twist to the story,” a source said.

Ajay Devgn will once again reprise his role

as Vijay Salgaonkar, the sharp, unassuming family man who has become the emotional and moral centre of the franchise.

Tabu also returns as IG Meera Deshmukh, continuing the intense psychological face-off between the two characters that has defined the series so far. Their performances in the earlier films were widely praised, setting the bar high for the third instalment.

There have also been reports suggesting that Akshaye Khanna may no longer be part of the project. While no official confirmation has been made by the makers, industry buzz hints at a possible salary-related disagreement. The production team has chosen not to comment on the speculation at this stage.
