Renowned ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas was cremated with state honours by the Mumbai Police. He died on Monday, February 26, at the age of 72. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to a prolonged illness. His last rites were performed on Tuesday, February 27, at Mumbai's Hindu

Several personalities belonging to the music, film and sports industries, including Vidya Balan, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, and Sunil Gavaskar attended the last rites of Pankaj Udhas and paid their last respects to the legendary ghazal singer.
