A recent viral video of former child actor Tylor Chase has left fans concerned after he was seen living on the streets of California. Best known for playing Martin Qwerly on Nickelodeon’s popular mid-2000s show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Chase’s current condition has sparked widespread discussion online, with many asking how the once-familiar television face reached this point.

The video circulating on social media shows Chase in visibly distressed circumstances, with torn clothes and struggling to pull on his pants as he stands on a California street. Once surrounded by cameras and television crews, he is now seen begging, while a woman speaks to him in the clip. The stark contrast between his past life in the entertainment industry and his present situation has prompted an outpouring of concern from netizens.

Born on September 6, 1989, in Arizona, Chase entered the entertainment industry at a young age. According to IMDb, he landed his

first acting role as Martin on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, which aired for three seasons from 2004 to 2007. He reportedly got his break through ProScout, a talent discovery platform that helped him find work in television.

During his time on Ned’s Declassified, Chase also appeared in the hit sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. In 2007, he made his film debut in James Franco’s Good Time Max, playing the younger version of the character Adam. His last credited acting role is said to be in the video game LA Noire, after which he stepped away from acting and largely disappeared from the public eye.

Following the circulation of the viral video, Chase’s former Ned’s Declassified co-stars Devon Werkheiser, Daniel Curtis Lee and Lindsey Shaw addressed the situation on their podcast. The actors spoke about Chase’s condition and assured listeners that they would step in to help their “old friend,” offering a note of hope amid the troubling images.
