Farhan Akhtar’s war epic 120 Bahadur is making history. PictureTime, a mobile theatre company, is set to screen the film on November 22 at the Rezang La War Memorial Auditorium in Chushul village, Ladakh, at 16,452 ft, one of the highest-altitude film screenings ever.

The special event will feature 14 shows open to both soldiers stationed in the region and local residents. “We want every soldier and villager here to see this story of bravery on the big screen,” said

PictureTime CEO Sushil Chaudhary, who said he’ll be on location even in sub-zero conditions.

This announcement comes just days after the 63rd anniversary of the Battle of Rezang La, which was fought here in 1962.

Beyond Ladakh, the film is also rolling out across India in a special release: in collaboration with GenSync Brat Media, 120 Bahadur will play in over 800 defence theatres, exclusively for members of the armed forces.
