A new viral moment has put actor Anne Hathaway back in the spotlight, just days after her “Inshallah” clip made waves online. A video from the London premiere of her upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2 showed the actor graciously accepting a Quran from a fan.
In the viral video, the fan can be heard saying, “I have got this Quran for you. I saw the video where you said ‘Inshallah’.” Hathaway responds with a warm smile, thanking as she accepts the gift.
Recently, in her interview with People, Anne used the phrase “Inshallah” while reflecting on life and longevity. While promoting the film,
she reflected on her evolving perspective on ageing and her journey in the film industry, sharing that at 43, she has embraced a calmer outlook and no longer feels the same emotional extremes she once did.
“I finally value the chill,” she said, adding that she now looks at each new decade with curiosity rather than apprehension. In a candid moment, Hathaway remarked, “I want to have a long, healthy life, Inshallah. I hope so.”
Anne Hathaway will next reprise her role as Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2, reuniting with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. The film is set to release in theatres on May 1.
