Emmy Awards 2025 nominations announced

The much-anticipated announcement of the 2025 Emmy nominations has officially begun. CBS Mornings kicked off the reveal on Tuesday, announcing the nominees for Outstanding Reality Competition Programme and Outstanding Talk Series.

The remaining nominations are set to be unveiled shortly by Brenda Song (Running Point) and Harvey Guilln (What We Do in the Shadows) at 8:30 am PT (9 pm IST).

Among the most talked-about potential frontrunners this year are the psychological workplace thriller 'Severance', led by Adam Scott, and Seth Rogen’s industry satire The Studio. While 'Severance' earned 14 nominations during its 2023 debut, it only managed to secure wins for its title sequence and original score.

British spy drama 'Slow Horses', alongside 'Shrinking' and 'Presumed Innocent', are also expected to make waves this awards season.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14, airing live at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT (6 am IST), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Comedian Nate Bargatze will host the evening, which will be broadcast on CBS and streamed via Paramount+. Before the main event, most technical and creative categories will be honoured during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7.
