Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is not slowing down – it’s sprinting through box office history. In just 24 days, the action thriller has stormed past the Rs 1,050-crore mark globally, emerging as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever.

On its fourth Sunday, December 28, Dhurandhar crossed Rs 1,064 crore at the worldwide box office, overtaking the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD. With this, the film has officially become the seventh-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

The Aditya Dhar directorial has been rewriting records week after week. After registering historic numbers in its second and third weeks, Dhurandhar delivered yet another unprecedented feat in its fourth weekend, collecting Rs 62 crore.

At the domestic box office, the film has amassed a net collection of Rs 690.25 crore, translating to a gross of Rs 828.25 crore as per Sacnilk.com. Trade analysts expect the Hindi juggernaut to cross the Rs 700-crore net mark in India in the coming days.

Overseas, the Christmas holiday window proved to be a major booster. The film has now earned over $26 million internationally,

pushing its worldwide total well past the Rs 1,000-crore milestone. The robust overseas response has further cemented Dhurandhar’s position among the most successful Indian releases globally.

On Sunday alone, the film reportedly earned over Rs 30 crore worldwide, helping it surpass the final tallies of Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 1,042 crore) and Pathaan (Rs 1,055 crore). While Dhurandhar now eyes the numbers of Jawan, KGF Chapter 2 and RRR, the all-time leaders – Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2, remain firmly ahead for now.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld and terror networks. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in pivotal roles.

Notably, Dhurandhar has become only the second Hindi film this year, after the dubbed version of Pushpa 2, to post such massive domestic numbers, marking a rare and defining moment for Hindi cinema.

With a sequel already in the works, Dhurandhar: Part 2 is expected to hit theatres in March 2026. Given the current momentum, the franchise looks set to grow even bigger from here.
