Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, who will soon turn 90, has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for a routine medical check-up, sparking concern among fans after reports of his hospitalisation surfaced online.

However, sources close to the family have confirmed that there is no cause for worry. “He undergoes a series of tests periodically given his age, and is in the hospital for the same. Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about,” the team said.

The ‘Sholay’ actor’s hospital visits, they added, are part of his regular

health regimen. “He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests,” the source said, reassuring that the actor remains “hale and hearty.”

Both his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, who are currently busy with their respective shoots, are also keeping a close watch on their father’s health.

A few weeks ago, Dharmendra had also gone for a similar routine check-up, with his team reiterating that such visits are merely precautionary measures.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dharmendra will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’ alongside Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia.
