Akshay Kumar's ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, also featuring R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The film that hit the screens on April 18 sees Akshay step into the role of C Sankaran Nair, the courageous Indian lawyer who challenged the British Empire in court. The film, which has been performing well in cinemas, has earned Rs 29.75 crore in three days.
Just like any
other mass entertainer, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ was not expected to clinch many numbers given the plotline. However, it managed a respectable start at the box office with an opening collection of approximately Rs 7.75 crore.
Given the positive word of mouth, the film saw expected growth over the weekend. On Saturday (Day 2), it earned around Rs 9.75 crore, and Rs 12.25 crore on Sunday (Day 3), as per the trade website Sacnilk.
