Coolie advance booking soars in Kerala, Rajinikanth's film set for massive opening

Rajinikanth's eagerly anticipated film 'Coolie' is on track to set a new benchmark for Tamil cinema. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, is slated for release on August 14 in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. With the inclusion of stars like Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, and Shruti Haasan, the film is generating significant buzz in both domestic and international markets.

The film's advance bookings have already begun in Kerala, where it has sold nearly 200,000 tickets, grossing over Rs 3



crore. According to the trade website Sacnilk, the excitement is palpable, with initial sales reaching 50,000 tickets per hour. As nationwide bookings open, the film is expected to maintain a rapid sales pace, potentially reaching over 100,000 tickets per hour.

The international reception for 'Coolie' appears equally promising, with the film nearly grossing Rs 30 crore on its opening day. If it maintains this momentum, it is projected to end up being the biggest opening for a Tamil title in the international markets, beating Thalapathy Vijay's Leo (66 crores).
