The much-awaited spy action drama War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, has undergone changes ahead of its release. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently cleared the film with some edits, including the removal of Kiara Advani’s bikini scene.

The movie’s original runtime was locked at 179 minutes. However, the team reapplied for certification after trimming 6.25 minutes from the final cut. The edited portions reportedly include a few chase sequences featuring Hrithik and Jr NTR, as well as some shots from the climax that could have revealed key plot points. The makers are said to have made these changes to preserve the viewing experience and avoid spoilers.

With these edits, the final runtime of War 2 stands at approximately 173 minutes, which is close to two hours and 53 minutes. The censor certificate also confirms the

presence of some cameo appearances, something the makers had hinted at earlier. During the pre-release event, Jr NTR mentioned that the film will hold “many surprises” for viewers, further fuelling speculation about what’s in store.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. Known for his flair in mounting large-scale projects, Mukerji has worked with an extensive production setup and action choreography to bring this film to life. The music is composed by Pritam, whose soundtrack is expected to add to the film’s commercial appeal.

While some fans may feel let down by the cuts, the overall expectations for the movie remain high, thanks to the star cast and the franchise’s past success. With its release date approaching, audience are looking forward to seeing how this blend of action, drama, and star power unfolds on the big screen.
