The highly anticipated release of Border 2 has reportedly led theatre chains across India to schedule post-midnight screenings. The move comes in response to a surge in audience demand over the Republic Day weekend. With the film's arrival coinciding with a national holiday, cinemas are allegedly extending operating hours to accommodate viewers eager to see the new release.

Reports suggest that theatre chains have started to add post-midnight shows running as late as 3 am.

According to Bollywood Hungama, MovieMax has added post-midnight shows from 1:20 am to even 3:00 am. The move aims to meet the extraordinary demand observed since the film's release, particularly in metropolitan areas where audiences have shown a strong inclination for late-night movie experiences.

It has also been noted that many

other cinemas are adding new shows to their roster, considering the heavy footfall in theatres. As a result, several major multiplexes and independent cinemas are expanding their show schedules, resulting in a wider selection of available time slots.

In Mumbai, PVR Sangam in Andheri East, Mumbai, has decided to add a 1:55 am show. A theatre in Bhayander has added a show as early as 7:00 am.

As the demand grows, more and more theatres are likely to add new shows. These late-night shows will continue to play not only on weekends but also on January 26, in honour of Republic Day.

A report by trade website Sacnilk suggested that Border 2 wrapped up its opening day with collections exceeding Rs 30 crore nett. The film is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club by the end of its third day on Sunday.
