Mother- a word that feels like a breeze on a hot summer day. An emotion, that can calm any chaos. A person, whose superpowers surprise us every day. While no single day can commemorate the love and affection we have for our mother but a day of celebrations mean no harm. And that’s why, the world is celebrating Mother’s Day today, May 8, 2022.

Since morning, social media is flooded with Mother’s Day posts from our beloved celebs. 

Let’s start with Anushka Sharma. The actress, who became mommy to daughter Vamika on January 11, 2021, shared an unseen photo, covering her little one’s face with a butterfly emoji. The photo also has her mom in the frame. Sharing the same, the Chakda Xpress actress wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day Maa Thank you for watching over me and being such a huge support for me especially in the last year and few months. Your will power and strength is phenomenal and you are so so loved by us all (sic).”

Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, producer-interior designer Gauri Khan missed her mom on Mother’s Day. She wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day ..missing all the drama around the household chores (sic).”

Kapoor sisters Karisma and Kareena's posts with mom Babita are too cute!

Ananya Panday posted many Instagram stories with mom Bhavana Pandey, along with cute little notes.

Karan Johar, who never fails to credit mom Hiroo Johar in his films, wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to all.. #blessedwiththebest (sic).” He also shared a mom compilation clip from all his films on the occasion.

wished mom Amrita Singh on Mother’s Day with her famous poem. It can be read, “Happy Mother’s Day Mummy Loved you since I was in your tummy P.S I love the fact that you’ve visited every set of mine To make you proud is why I try to shine (sic).”

Janhvi Kapoor remembered her late mom Sridevi. She shared a throwback photo and wrote, “Even in your absence, I feel your love everyday. Even in your absence, you’re the best mother in the world. love u (sic).”

Madhuri Dixit shared a beautiful photo with her sisters and mother, and wrote, “All that I am, all that I will ever be, it’ll be all your reflection Happy Mothers Day (sic)."

Be it on-screen or in real life, Aamir Khan is a man who knows how to respect and exhibit values and emotions. He is truly a family man and is frequently seen sharing his love for them with the audience. The actor celebrated Mother's Day with his Ammi (mom) Zeenat Hussein, his sister, Nikhat Khan, and his brother-in-law, Santosh Hegde. 

Akshay Kumar shared a heartwarming note in remembrance of his late mother Aruna Bhatia. The 'Sooryavanshi' actor took to his Instagram handle and posted an image in which he could be seen posing with his mother as the duo smiled vibrantly at the camera. In the caption, Akshay remembered his mother by writing, "There's not a single day when I don't think of you but today after seeing everyone's #MothersDay pictures I am missing you a lot. Miss you Ma."

 Alia Bhatt posted a photo with Soni Razdan and new mom-in-law Neetu Kapoor.

She wrote, “My beautiful beautiful mothers
