This year, India celebrated its 74th Republic Day. The occasion marks the adoption of the Constitution of India and the transition of India's governance from British monarchy to democracy. People celebrated this day by watching the parade held at the Rajpath in New Delhi. This year, grand celebrations were organised at Kartavya Path. Public places were decorated with tricolour. Bollywood celebrities extended wishes on the occasion. 

Shah Rukh Khan quoted dialogue from his film Pathaan to wish his fans on Republic Day. "Desh ke liye kya kar sakte ho…Happy Republic Day to everyone. May we cherish all that our Constitution has given us & take our country to greater heights. Jai Hind (sic)," he wrote on Twitter. 

Salman Khan wished the fans on the occasion of Republic Day 2023. He also makes a cameo appearance in Pathaan. 

Akshay Kumar was seen in Mumbai for promotions of his clothing brand Force X. He was snapped with a tricolour badge on his chest on the occasion of Republic Day.  

Govinda Naam Mera actress Kiara Advani posted a tricolour flag on her Instagram stories and wished everyone a happy Republic Day. 

Sara Ali Kha extended wishes on R-Day. She wore a white and green salwar kameez and completed her 'tricolour'

look with a saffron dupatta. She will be seen next in the biopic of Usha Mehta, titled Ae Watan Mere Watan.

Preity Zinta posted a picture of herself and captioned it, "Happy Republic Day to all my fellow Indians. Jai Hind."

Ayushmann Khurrana posted a video where he is seen holding the national flag. He chose the song 'Des mere des mere' from the film 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh' to complement his post. 

Farhan Akhtar posted a short video featuring the national flag. The theme music of Farhan's directorial 'Lakshya' was playing in the backdrop. 

Filmmaker Karan Johar's post read, "Ae watan mere watan aabad rahe tu! Wishing everyone a very happy republic day- may we soar higher in stregth, love, peace and success... together!"

Draped in a green saree and teaming it up with an orange-coloured blouse, Kajol posted a beautiful picture of herself and chose the song 'Des Rangila' from her film 'Fanaa' to play in the background of her video.

"Happy #RepublicDay2023. May India always be the Sovereign, Socialist, Secular Democratic Republic defined by Dr. #Ambedkar in the #ConstitutionOfIndia. May every Indian be equal, may religion be removed from governance, may caste be annihilated forever. #JaiHind," Vishal Dadlani wished.
