Like every year, contestants on 'Bigg Boss 19' have accelerated into high gear as the season nears its finish line. However, given the drama and rivalries at their peak, many reports suggested that the Salman Khan-hosted show would be extended for a few more weeks. As per India Today’s exclusive sources, the buzz was merely speculation, and no extension has been granted to the show.

“There are absolutely no plans to extend the season. While Bigg Boss 19 has been a success in every way, we wanted to stick to the 15-week stipulated plan. There was no discussion about an extension — we don’t know how it became a viral topic,” the source told us.

Another industry insider shared that with host Salman Khan’s dates already committed to his next film, 'Battle of Galwan', managing logistics would have been

difficult. Hence, even if the team had considered an extension, implementing it would have been tough. And now, given the 15-week schedule, the finale of Bigg Boss Season 19 will be held on December 7.
