Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli’s COVID-19 Fundraiser raises Rs 3.6 Crore in single day

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli shared a video on social media on Friday, May 7, announcing that they have started a fundraiser for Covid-19 relief. After donating Rs 2 crore themselves, they urged their fans to do the same and help fight the novel coronavirus. It crossed the halfway mark of its target of 7 crore in a day. Anushka and Virat thanked fans for helping the cause.

On May 8, Saturday, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli informed fans that they have raised more than 3.5



crore and also thanked the people who made contributions. Their campaign, In This Together, is in collaboration with Ketto.

Sharing a post that showed that they have crossed the 50 per cent mark of their goal with Rs 3.6 crore, Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram, “Grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Thank you for your contribution. We have crossed the half way mark, let’s keep going. #InThisTogether #ActNow #OxygenForEveryone #TogetherWeCan #SocialForGood (sic).”
