Anupam Kher announces 549th film with Sooraj Barjatya

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has commenced shooting for his 549th film, collaborating with renowned director Sooraj Barjatya. The project, which remains untitled, marks another chapter in the longstanding professional relationship between Kher and Barjatya. Kher shared the news on social media, highlighting the significance of this collaboration within his career.

Kher expressed enthusiasm about beginning work on the new film and presented Barjatya with an auspicious shawl from Ayodhya to mark the occasion. In his social media post, Kher stated, "ANNOUNCING MY 549th FILM: Delighted to share that my 549th untitled film started today with one and only SOORAJ BARJATYA! Presented him the auspicious shawl which I got from #Ayodhya! (sic)."

The duo's association goes back decades, with Kher a



regular collaborator in Barjatya's projects. This film will also be the director's eighth. Kher reflected on their journey, noting the creative chemistry and familial ties with Rajshri Films.
