Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh-starrer 83 to release in theatres in first quarter of 2021

Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh-starrer 83 will be hitting theatres in the first quarter of 2021. The films were to release in 2020 but due to the novel coronavirus pandemic they were delayed. Earlier, it was reported that 83 will release in theatres on Christmas this year. However, the makers changed their decision citing lack of time to plan a promotional campaign and shutting down of international



markets.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his tweet wrote that Sooryavanshi and 83 will release in the first quarter of 2021. However, he added that the release dates of the two films have not been finalised yet. He wrote, "ALL EYES ON FIRST QUARTER OF 2021... #Sooryavanshi and #83TheFilm to release in *cinemas* NEXT YEAR [2021]... Both will release *before* 31 March 2021... Release dates *NOT* finalised yet (sic)."
