The promo then shifts to Arun telling his mother about going to war, while she tells him to fight like a lion. Veteran actor Dharmendra is shown as his grandfather who narrates how as a kid Arun used to listen to his war stories.
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat is shown as a Pakistani army officer who tells Dharmendra that
Arun's legacy is not just limited to India but among Pakistanis as well. The movie is directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan.
The war-biopic is based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21 — honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Khetarpal, India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, lost his life at 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. On Khetarpal's birth anniversary, October 14, the makers released Agastya's first look poster and announced filming completion.
