After Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar gets cheque from ‘Jailer’ producer

Rajinikanth's 'Jailer', which released on August 10, has gone on to become a huge hit. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is aiming to reach the Rs 600-crore mark globally. On Thursday, Sun Pictures shared a post where it showed producer Kalanithi Maran gifting Rajinikanth a share from the profits, along with a brand new BMW X7.

Soon after, the Twitter handle of Sun Pictures dropped a set of two new photos, which had Maran gifting a cheque to Nelson.

Sharing the same, Sun Pictures Twitter handle wrote, "Mr.Kalanithi Maran congratulated @Nelsondilpkumar and handed over a cheque to him, celebrating the Mega Blockbuster #Jailer #JailerSuccessCelebrations (sic)."

On August 31, Kalanithi Maran, the CEO of Sun Pictures, who bankrolled 'Jailer', met Thalaiva at his Poes Garden home in Chennai. He handed over a cheque for an undisclosed amount. He also gifted him a luxurious BMW X7 amid the astounding success of 'Jailer'.
