A 43-year-old man died while watching Avengers: Infinity War in Proddatur town in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district on Tuesday. The staff of the theatre thought the man, Peddapasupula Baasha, was waiting for the end credit scenes. When they saw no movement even after the credits were over, they checked and found out that he had passed away during the film screening.

When the staff took off his 3D glasses, they realized the man had died with his eyes open.

The man who was employed at a construction site nearby had gone to watch the film as part of May Day celebrations. The police suspects the man died due to natural causes, probably a heart attack. The body has been sent to a local hospital for postmortem and a case under section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death) has been registered, the report stated.

Avengers: Infinity War has seen a massive business in India with the film breaking multiple records in the country. According to Box Office Mojo, the Avengers: Infinity War has earned $18,464,603 million in India, which makes the country one of the top contributors to the film’s global collections.
