After years of being a television favourite in India, Doraemon is finally making the leap to the big screen. Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil will release in cinemas across the country on October 2, marking the beloved blue robot cat's first nationwide theatrical outing in India.

The film, an underwater adventure centred on friendship, courage and discovery, will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu by TV Asahi and PVR INOX Pictures. Black White Orange (BWO) will spearhead a nationwide fan engagement campaign ahead of the release.

Based on the original manga by FUJIKO F FUJIO, the creator of the Doraemon series, the film marks the franchise's long-awaited arrival in Indian cinemas. While TV Asahi and PVR INOX Pictures are leading the theatrical release, BWO will oversee fan engagement, consumer experiences and promotional activations, with

Happening 365 Synergies serving as strategic and market advisory partner.

Ahead of the film's release, Doraemon will make his first public appearance in India at CORE, the pop culture festival organised by BWO, on June 20 and 21 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Fans attending the event can explore a dedicated Doraemon zone featuring themed installations, interactive activities, photo opportunities and a giant Doraemon inflatable.

Doraemon has been a staple of Indian television for over two decades, building a devoted fanbase across generations. Its theatrical debut gives longtime viewers an opportunity to experience one of the character's adventures on the big screen for the first time.

Ahead of the release, the official Instagram handle, Doraemon Movie India, has also been launched to share updates, trailers and promotional content with fans.
