Singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert, scheduled to take place at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30, has been denied permission by the Delhi Police, citing security concerns.

The decision comes as a setback for fans who had been looking forward to attending the live concert. Further details about the event and ticket-related arrangements are awaited.

According to reports, a letter addressed to ticketing platform BookMyShow by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, the request to organise the Delhi leg of Diljit’s Aura India Tour was examined but could not be approved.

The letter referred to “specific threat-related inputs” and the police’s security and law-and-order commitments during the ongoing festive season, along with other

concerns.

Diljit's team has been promoting the October 30 concert on their social media handles.

Diljit Dosanjh announced the India leg of his Aura Tour, which was scheduled to kick off in Delhi on October 30. The seven-city tour follows his concerts in Europe and North America, with pre-sale tickets opening on October 6.

The India leg will continue with a show in Delhi-NCR on November 1, followed by Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29 and Lucknow on December 5. A concert in Chandigarh has also been announced, but its date and other details are yet to be confirmed.

However, with the Delhi Police denying permission for the concert over security concerns, the status of the Delhi show remains uncertain.
