Drishyam 3 has continued its strong run in theatres, crossing the Rs 100-crore mark worldwide within three days of release. The Mohanlal-starrer hit cinemas on May 21, coinciding with the actor’s 66th birthday, and regained momentum over the weekend after a minor dip on Friday (Day 2).
According to the tracking website Sacnilk, the family thriller earned Rs 13.7 crore nett in India on Day 3, taking its total domestic nett collection to Rs 40.60 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has now risen to Rs 117.17
crore.
The film also posed strong occupancy figures on Saturday. Across 5,185 shows nationwide, Drishyam 3 recorded an overall occupancy of 50.2 per cent. The Malayalam version remained the biggest contributor, with an overall occupancy of 66.52 per cent. Evening and night shows performed especially well, registering 75.42 per cent and 72.75 per cent occupancy, respectively.
Kochi emerged as the film’s strongest market, recording the highest occupancy at 88.3 per cent across 238 shows.
