Actor Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 continued its strong run at the box office on Saturday, recording a significant jump on Day 2 and widening its lead over its competitors. The Nitin Kakkar directorial, which opened to an impressive response on Friday, saw its collections rise by over 53 per cent on Saturday.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 earned Rs 33.75 crore nett in India on Day 2 across 10,496 shows. This took its two-day India net collection to Rs 55.75 crore, while the India
gross stood at Rs 66.90 crore.
The film also maintained its momentum in overseas markets, earning an estimated Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday. Its total overseas gross now stands at Rs 6 crore, taking the worldwide gross to an estimated Rs 72.90 crore.
The strong Day 2 performance further cemented Awarapan 2’s lead at the box office. The film is competing with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, but the Partition drama has remained behind the Emraan Hashmi-starrer in collections.
