Thiruvananthapuram: The 26th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) got underway in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the fest. Kurdish filmmaker Lisa Calan, a survivor of ISIS terror, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap and Malayalam actor Bhavana were among those present. The 2021 Bangladeshi film 'Rehana



Maryam Noor' was an inaugural movie.

In all, 173 films will be screened at 15 theatres during the eight-day film festival. Over ten thousand delegates will be allowed.  A full occupancy in theatres is allocated for the first time since the outbreak of Corona pandemic.
