Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan continued his 'Sunday Darshan' ritual on November 8, meeting fans gathered outside his Mumbai bungalow, Jalsa. The 84-year-old actor also wished his admirers a happy Diwali. Interestingly, Bachchan did not use the bulletproof glass that had been placed around him during his previous Sunday appearance.

His son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, and film producer Bunty Walia were also present overseeing the security arrangements as the veteran star greeted his fans. This was Bachchan's second 'Sunday Darshan' since a threatening letter sent to the Mumbai Mayor mentioned his

name alongside those of several other celebrities in the city.

Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant commented on Bachchan's decision to do away with the bulletproof glass during Sunday's appearance. Speaking to the media, he said, "Whether bullet-proof glass is removed as it shows the government in bad light or threat is over, this is something only Amitabh Ji can answer. But Bollywood celebrities are living under fear of criminals inside Sabarmati jail," referring to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Members of Bishnoi's gang recently claimed responsibility for a firing attack on actor Tiger Shroff.
