Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa in Abbas-Mustan's thriller 3 Monkeys, first poster out

Actors Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala and Tenzin Dalha will star in Abbas–Mustan’s upcoming thriller 3 Monkeys, which was announced on Gandhi Jayanti with its first motion poster. The campaign reworks the familiar Three Wise Monkeys idea for a contemporary setting and introduces the film’s central characters while keeping the larger plot under wraps.

The film replaces the traditional line, “Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Suno, Bura Mat Bolo (See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil)”, with “Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo



(Observe everything. Listen. Speak fearlessly).”

At the centre of the story are three masked characters Amar, Akbar and Anthony played by Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala and Tenzin Dalha. Rampal plays Sanjay, whose link to the trio has not been disclosed.

The motion poster opens with the traditional Three Wise Monkeys before shifting to the film’s central trio. Amar, Akbar and Anthony are shown masked and armed, though the announcement does not reveal whether they are part of a robbery, a heist or something else.
